Snowman with Tree Sword

Image
Project:   Snowman with Tree Sword Created By:   Cam (6 years old) and Auntie    Background: Cam wanted to do a lastminute craft.  Supplies:   Construction Paper (we used black, white, blue, orange, green and yellow). Elmers Glue  Table Salt  Instructions:   I cut out shapes and handed them to Cam who glued them on the paper into a design of his choosing.   We sprinkled table salt on glue drops for the snow, planning to use watercolors to paint it later (as seen on Pinterest).  Unfortunately, when it dried it just kind of fell off in a few spots.  Need to look more into the salt idea  Time Commitment:   About 20 minutes.

Project:   The Silly Wiggly Hot Dog Created By:   Cam (6 years old) Background:   We’ve been enjoying doing crafts together from Pinterest and Cam wanted to share one of his designs.  He was inspired by a snake project.  Supplies:   Toilet Paper Rolls ( we used 7 but could be as few as 3). Washable Paint (we used red and orange for the hot dog body and blue for the eyes).    Ribbon (to connect the sections). Packing Tape (to secure the ribbon to the inside of the toilet paper rolls). Instructions:   Paint the toilet paper rolls.  ¾ of the roll should be orange for the roll and the remaining ¼ red for the hotdog.  Paint eyes on one of the rolls.  You can have that one with the bun or without (like a part is hanging out of the bun, which is what Cam did).  Once dry, tape a ribbon to the insides of the rolls of toilet paper rolls, connecting them.  Try to keep the red painted areas in a row. ...
